Somali Regional State Flag Removed in Moyale Amid Rising Tensions

Reports from the border town of Moyale indicate that the flag of the Somali Regional State (DDS) was taken down following the opening of a new administrative office by the Somali regional authorities in part of the town. The Oromia regional administration, which has reportedly been asserting claims over Moyale District in recent years, rejected the establishment of the new office.
